The Israeli army says it has killed a Hamas commander in an airstrike in Lebanon. Hassan Farhat was responsible for numerous attacks on Israeli civilians, according to a statement from the armed forces.

He was also behind a rocket attack in which an Israeli soldier was killed and others injured.
The Lebanese state news agency NNA cited a statement from a health authority according to which three people were killed in an Israeli drone attack on an apartment in the Lebanese coastal town of Sidon. According to security sources, the victims are said to be Farhat and two family members. Two explosions occurred during the attack, which led to a fire and panic among residents.
