Following the massive airstrike in a suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut, Israel's air force is again attacking the area, according to army sources. According to the military, the target was weapons of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia stored under civilian residential buildings.

According to an army spokesman, the weapons were rockets.

The explosions of the weapons could damage buildings or cause them to collapse, warned Daniel Hagari. The army had previously called on residents to leave the area. According to Hagari, the rockets also pose a threat to international shipping and strategic Israeli facilities.

According to Israel, the massive attack was aimed at the headquarters of the Shiite militia. It was said to have been hidden under residential buildings. According to unconfirmed media reports, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was the target of the attack.
