Politics Israeli air force attacks Iranian elite militias in Tehran
Israel's army continues to bomb targets of the Iranian Basij militia in Tehran after announcing the killing of its commander. In the past few hours, the Israeli air force has attacked members of these elite paramilitary units, who were active in more than ten different positions in the Iranian capital, the Israeli military announced in the evening. Soleimani's killing and the recent attacks caused "significant and lasting damage" to the militia's capabilities, the statement continued. According to Israel's army, it had already attacked militia control centers during the course of the Iran war.
