In one case, soldiers arrived at a location near the city of Ramallah following a tip-off about a suspect, Israel's military announced. The suspect then stabbed the soldiers. Israeli forces had therefore shot him. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah, the victim was 18 years old.
According to the Magen David Adom rescue service, two young men were slightly injured in the alleged attack by the Palestinian.
Another suspected perpetrator shot dead
In another case, soldiers tried to arrest a Palestinian after a suspected car attack in the Hebron area during the night, Israel's army also announced. Because he tried to flee and endangered the forces, they killed him with gunfire.
According to the army, the security forces found the suspect in a car in which he had allegedly raced towards Israeli forces the previous evening. According to the military, a female soldier was injured. The suspected perpetrator then fled the scene. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah, the victim was a 17-year-old boy.
Tensions in the occupied West Bank have intensified since the Hamas massacre in Israel on October 7, 2023 and the resulting Gaza war. Since then, 1,019 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military operations, armed clashes and attacks, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. At the same time, radical Israeli settlers are increasingly attacking Palestinians in the West Bank.
