Politics Israeli critically injured in West Bank attack

An Israeli has suffered life-threatening injuries in a suspected Palestinian attack in the occupied West Bank. According to the Magen David Adom rescue service, a tanker driver deliberately rammed into a bus stop near the settlement of Givat Assaf.

The driver was "knocked out". According to the public broadcaster Kan, the attacker was a Palestinian from a village near Ramallah.

According to paramedics, a 20-year-old man who had been standing at the bus stop was in mortal danger. In view of a wave of attacks in the West Bank, an Israeli settler representative called for the massive deployment of additional ground troops to the area.
