According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 6 people have been killed and 24 others injured in Israeli airstrikes in the capital Beirut. Early on Wednesday morning, an explosion rocked the Bashura district: according to a photographer from the German Press Agency, a high-rise building was hit and completely reduced to rubble. All of the areas hit on Wednesday morning are close to Lebanese government buildings such as the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister's office.
During the night, Hezbollah, which is allied with Iran, again fired dozens of rockets at the north of neighboring Israel. The fighting was triggered by the Israeli-American attacks on Iran almost three weeks ago. War has been raging in the region ever since.
