Politics Israel's military operation in Jenin: report of new drone attack
The Israeli army has continued its military operation in Jenin in the northern West Bank for the second day in a row. The Israeli broadcaster Kan reported, citing Palestinian sources, that there had been a new drone attack in the town, which is considered a stronghold of militant Palestinians.

According to Palestinian reports, the army raided numerous houses on the outskirts of the refugee quarter of Jenin.
The army announced that Israeli security forces had "hit ten terrorists" within 24 hours. There were also airstrikes on "terror infrastructure" and several explosive devices planted on roads were defused.
It is Israel's most extensive operation in Jenin for a long time. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah, ten people have been killed and at least 40 injured so far.
The Israeli forces' action in Jenin comes at a time when the already tense situation in the West Bank has worsened dramatically due to a strengthening of Palestinian militants and increasing violence by radical Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians.
