According to the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet received a signal from the Europeans for possible talks on ending the more than three-year-long war in Ukraine. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in Moscow, as reported by the Russian state news agency Tass.

"So far there have been no signals," said Peskov. He was referring in particular to statements made by Finnish President Alexander Stubb. He had said that one or two countries should negotiate with Moscow on behalf of all European supporters of Ukraine - most likely France or Great Britain.
Russia, on the other hand, has so far only considered the USA to be a partner in talks about the war - not the Europeans or Ukraine itself.
