Four pro-Palestine activists appeared before the Zurich District Court on Tuesday. They are accused of illegally occupying the ETH main hall. A large police contingent accompanied the trial.

At the beginning of the trial, the defense lawyers asked the single judge to recuse herself. She ruled that the trial should nevertheless go ahead.
A solidarity rally was held in front of Zurich District Court in the morning. Around 50 people protested peacefully. Many wanted to attend the trial afterwards, some of whom the judge allowed to attend. She referred to the space available and the fact that the activists had not registered.
The police checked IDs and bags and patted people down. One of the two defense lawyers thought it was a "terrorist trial".
