Following renewed Israeli airstrikes in the coastal city of Tyre in Lebanon, officials are reporting further deaths and injuries. Seven people were killed, including two girls, and more than 40 others were injured, the Ministry of Health announced. Rescue workers are continuing to search for victims in the rubble. During the night, there were also around a dozen heavy air strikes in the suburbs south of the capital Beirut, the state news agency NNA reported. Israel's army had previously ordered residents to evacuate.

Lebanese authorities counted more than 670 Israeli airstrikes throughout the country over the course of seven days. More than 230 people were killed and more than 800 others were injured. In its count, the Ministry of Health does not distinguish between civilians and members of the Hezbollah militia, against which Israel is waging war in Lebanon.
