According to the authorities, almost 500 people have been killed in Lebanon since the outbreak of the latest escalation between Israel and Hezbollah. 486 people have been killed and 1,313 others injured since last Monday, according to the government's civil protection unit in Beirut.
Following renewed rocket fire from Hezbollah on Israel, the Israeli military is once again launching massive attacks in the Shiite organization's areas of influence in Lebanon. The southern suburbs of the capital Beirut, large parts of southern Lebanon and other areas in the east of the country are under fire. According to the authorities, dozens of children are among the dead.
