The knife attack in London has been officially classified as a terrorist attack. The head of the counter-terrorism unit, Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor, said this in a brief statement this afternoon. Two people were injured in the attack in the heavily Jewish district of Golders Green. One suspected attacker has been arrested, a 45-year-old man.

"One of the lines of inquiry is whether this attack was targeted at the Jewish community in London," Taylor said. Prime Minister Keir Starmer had previously written about an anti-Semitic attack on the X platform.

According to the police, the two victims are two men, one of whom is between 30 and 40, the other between 70 and 80 years old. Both are in hospital and in a stable condition.
