The UK wants to develop improved interceptor drones together with Ukraine. These are then to be mass-produced in the UK and delivered to Ukraine in their thousands every month, said British Defense Minister John Healey at a joint press conference with his counterparts from Germany and Ukraine, Boris Pistorius (SPD) and Denys Schmyhal, during the NATO defense ministers' meeting in Brussels. Healey went on to say that the UK had already delivered 85,000 drones to Ukraine this year for defense against the Russian war of aggression.

The British also want to benefit from the development of the new interceptor drones known as "Octopus" for their defense, as Healey emphasized. "This is an opportunity to combine the innovation from Ukraine and the direct combat experience from the battlefield with the modern design and mass production techniques that we can bring from the UK," said the Briton.

"We are increasing the pressure on Putin, both militarily and economically," Healey added, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin. London has also imposed 92 further sanctions against the Russian energy sector, oil companies and arms suppliers, the Labour politician said.
