Russia Military blogger: Russians advance in Kurakhove
According to military observers in Kiev, Russian forces have made further territorial gains in Ukraine. They reportedly advanced further in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kurakhove.

At the beginning of the week, there were consistent reports from military observers that half of the town was already in Russian hands. The Russians have also occupied other towns to the north.
According to these reports, the Moscow military was able to take the village of Stari Terny, for example, which is located northwest of Kurakhove on the other bank of a reservoir. This means that the Russian attackers are already in the rear of the Ukrainian defenders, which makes their situation even more complicated. In any case, the Ukrainian army has held the town for longer than military experts recently suspected. The Russian losses during the advance are considered high, but the risk of the remaining defenders being encircled is now increasing.
The situation of the Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk is also becoming increasingly dangerous. With the capture of Novopustynka, the attackers are threatening to push through to the west south of the city, which means that Pokrovsk is also caught in the pincer.
Moscow's night-time attacks from the air also continued. The Ukrainian air defense wrote in the morning on its Telegram channel that Russia had attacked with 53 drones during the night. Of these, 32 were shot down over the regions of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy Chernihiv and Kiev. The location of 16 drones had been lost, which was mostly due to the use of electronic defenses. In addition, two drones flew towards Belarus.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a large-scale Russian invasion for more than two and a half years.
