Turkish police have arrested more than 300 suspected members of the IS terrorist militia in a nationwide manhunt.
Weapons, cash and digital materials were also confiscated during the raid in 47 provinces, the Interior Ministry announced on X.
IS maintains networks and logistical structures in Turkey and has repeatedly claimed responsibility for attacks in the country in the past. In December, police broke up an IS cell in the western Turkish province of Yalova - three police officers were killed and numerous others injured in the fighting.
The authorities also hold IS responsible for an attack on the Israeli consulate in Istanbul in April, which was not in operation at the time. One attacker was killed in an exchange of fire with the police and two others were injured. IS has not yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
