Tech billionaire and Trump adviser Elon Musk is offering 100 dollars for every signature on his petition "against activist judges" in the US state of Wisconsin.

Musk's organization "America PAC" announced on the X platform that it was offering a further 100 dollars for every signature obtained. In Wisconsin, a judge for the state's Supreme Court will be elected on April 1. According to US media, Musk is supporting the conservative candidate.

The organization justifies the move on X by saying that "activist judges" are imposing their personal views and ideas instead of interpreting the laws as they are written. However, US media see further reasons for the maneuver. The action is intended to encourage the election of conservative candidate Brad Schimel and secure the data of potentially conservative voters at "America PAC", wrote the New York Times.

Gifts of money before the US election

This is not the first time Musk has lured voters with money. Last year, he announced that he would give one million dollars a day to a registered voter in particularly hard-fought US states in the run-up to the US election. Several million-dollar cheques were handed over. According to US election law, it is illegal to pay citizens money to vote or register to vote. The US Department of Justice issued a warning, but did not stop the gifts of money.
