In the wake of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and at the urging of US President Donald Trump, NATO has agreed a massive increase in defense spending. Each alliance partner undertakes to invest five percent of its gross domestic product in defense and security each year from 2035 at the latest, according to the final declaration agreed at the NATO summit in The Hague, as reported by dpa.
