Before his departure to the USA, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized the strength of the alliance between the two countries.

He will seek the support of both political camps in the USA, said the head of government. "I will tell my friends on both sides that regardless of who the American people elect as their next president, Israel remains America's indispensable and strong ally in the Middle East."

He will deliver a speech to Congress on Wednesday "at a time when Israel is fighting on seven fronts and when there is great political uncertainty in Washington," Netanyahu continued.

Despite Biden's withdrawal from the race for another term, Netanyahu will meet the US president on Tuesday. "This will be an opportunity to thank him for the things he did for Israel in the war and during his long and distinguished career of public service, as a senator, as vice president and as president."

He said he also wanted to talk with Biden about "how we can advance the goals that are important to both of our countries in the critical months ahead: Achieving the release of all our hostages, defeating Hamas, confronting the axis of terror of Iran and its abettors, and ensuring the safe return of all Israeli citizens to their homes in the north and south."

Netanyahu concluded: "In this time of war and uncertainty, it is important that Israel's enemies know that America and Israel stand together - today, tomorrow and always."
