According to Lebanese reports, there has been another deadly Israeli attack in Lebanon despite the ceasefire. Four people were killed in a town near the border with Israel, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced. According to the Israeli army, they were members of the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia.

Three were traveling in a vehicle loaded with weapons. A fourth was traveling on a motorcycle, the Israeli military announced in the afternoon. The air force also killed two armed Hezbollah fighters elsewhere in southern Lebanon. Both were a threat to Israeli soldiers on the ground in southern Lebanon.

Israel's army had previously warned residents of several towns in the south of the neighboring country not to return there.

Hezbollah fires projectiles at Israel from Lebanon

In the afternoon, Israel's army reported renewed shelling from Lebanon on Israel. According to reports, one projectile was intercepted and another crashed in an open area. There were rocket alerts in several places in northern Israel. There were initially no reports of casualties or damage. Lebanese security sources reported that Hezbollah had fired rockets at Israel.

The recently extended ceasefire between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah militia remains fragile. Both sides accuse each other of violating the agreement. There are repeated violent incidents and attacks. Israeli soldiers are still stationed in southern Lebanon. According to the current ceasefire agreement, the Israeli army is allowed to defend itself against planned, imminent or ongoing attacks, but should refrain from "offensive" operations against targets in Lebanon.
