Meanwhile, the situation in the capital Kiev remains difficult as a result of previous Russian attacks. Although most of the heating systems that failed in 6,000 apartment blocks on Saturday have been reconnected to the heating network, 1,676 apartment blocks are still without heating, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. During the night, temperatures in Kiev were in the double-digit frost range.
On the other side, Russia also reported Ukrainian shelling. According to the Ministry of Defense in Moscow, 52 drones were repelled. The governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that energy objects had been damaged by rocket fire during the night. He gave no details of the consequences. The region has been struggling with energy supply problems for weeks.
