A new wave of Israeli airstrikes has been reported from the Iranian capital Tehran, with heavy explosions in several districts of the metropolis. The Israeli military had previously announced on the Telegram platform the start of another series of extensive attacks on government facilities in the Islamic Republic. Shortly afterwards, reporters stationed in Tehran for the Arabic broadcaster Al Jazeera reported "unprecedented" explosions, particularly in the eastern districts of the city. The air defenses were in constant use.

A few hours later, Israel's army reported a new volley of missiles fired at Israel from Iran. The air defense systems had been prepared to intercept the projectiles, it said on Telegram. Residents were called upon to take shelter.
