The Hezbollah-affiliated television station Al-Majadin reported that Israeli soldiers had hidden behind a post of the UN observer mission Unifil in Ramja. Israel, however, accuses the militia of misusing UN soldiers' posts as shields.
Israel's army announced that a reservist and an officer had been seriously injured in various battles in the south of the country. There were also other casualties in the ranks of the army. The injured were evacuated.
So far, four Israeli divisions are involved in Israel's ground offensive in Lebanon. Israel is keeping their strength and the number of troops that have marched into the neighboring country secret. So far, they appear to have crossed or attempted to cross the demarcation line at four different points in the border area: In the Nakura area on the Mediterranean coast, as well as in three sections further east near Ramja and in the greater Bint Jubaail area, and further north near Udaissa.
