Despite the ceasefire, there has been renewed deadly violence in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army announced that a terrorist had crossed the so-called "yellow line" in the north of the coastal strip and approached Israeli soldiers.

He had posed an "immediate threat" to the troops, who had "eliminated" him. The "yellow line" marks the army's line of retreat within the Gaza Strip as part of the ceasefire agreement.
In a further incident in the south of the coastal area, Israeli soldiers "carried out a precise attack on several terrorist infrastructure facilities that posed a threat to the troops in an area under Israeli control in Chan Junis", the army also announced.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that an Israeli drone had fired on a group of Palestinians in the east of the city of Gaza. One of them was killed and another was injured. This was a violation of the ceasefire agreement. The information provided by both sides could not be independently verified.
Since the start of a ceasefire between Israel and the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas on 10 October as part of US President Donald Trump's peace plan, there have been repeated fatal incidents. According to the Hamas-controlled health authority, more than 200 Palestinians have already been killed. Several Israeli soldiers were killed in attacks in the Gaza Strip.
