At least one person was killed this evening when a Russian drone struck a block of flats in the Ukrainian port city of Odessa. The victim was a man aged just under 60, Governor Oleh Kiper wrote on Telegram. A total of six people between the ages of 20 and 67 were injured. Three of the injured were hospitalized, the others were treated as outpatients.

According to the pictures, the façade was damaged over several floors. Three apartments were damaged and another was completely destroyed, Kiper said. The resulting fire was quickly extinguished.

Ukraine has been defending itself against the Russian invasion for more than four years. Since the beginning of the war, Russia has systematically shelled its neighbor's hinterland, repeatedly hitting civilian objects.
