It was not Zelensky but Russia that rejected the peace plan prepared by the USA, Tusk wrote on X. "Russia's only response was further missile attacks on Ukrainian cities." The only solution was more pressure on Russia. "You all know that."
In an interview with the Reuters news agency, Trump answered the question as to why the negotiations led by the USA had not yet led to an end to the war in Ukraine: "Selenskyj." Trump went on to say that, in his opinion, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin was more willing than the Ukrainian leadership to make a deal and end the fighting.
Poland, an EU and NATO member state, is one of the most important political and military supporters of Ukraine, which is under attack from Russia. It has a central function as a logistical hub for the West's military aid to Kiev.
