Several hundred people took part in the demonstration, as a reporter from the Keystone-SDA news agency reported. There was an attack on a motorcycle policeman on the sidelines, whereupon several officers intervened and stopped the attacker.

The unauthorized demonstration criss-crossed District 4, with the demonstrators also passing through the bakery area twice, where families and children were also present.

According to the organizers, around 15,000 people had previously taken part in the official rally. It was largely peaceful, but there was some damage to property along the way.
