Major Polish media such as the newspaper "Rzeczpospolita" and the news portal "Onet.pl" relied on the counting of more than 99 percent of the votes by the election administration. According to this, Nawrocki received just under 51 percent, while his liberal opponent Rafal Trzaskowski received just over 49 percent.
