Putin said this in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek at the end of his visit there. On the Russian side, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the presidential administration would take part in the negotiations.

Putin mentioned his advisors Vladimir Medinsky and Yuri Ushakov by name. It was a very large complex of issues that had to be dealt with. He emphasized that each issue was of key importance. According to the Kremlin, US President Donald Trump's advisor Steve Witkoff is expected in Moscow next week.

Putin himself had met with Witkoff several times. He also reiterated his willingness to discuss Trump's 28-point paper on ending the war. This could form the basis for a subsequent peace treaty, he said. Putin once again made it clear that he wanted to have control over the entire Donbass before a ceasefire.
