Rally in Bern against Trump and fascism

Opponents of Donald Trump being elected as the next US president demonstrated "United against fascism" in Bern on Friday evening.

Around 150 people demonstrated in Bern on Friday evening against the election of Donald Trump as US president and against fascism.

The rally was not authorized, according to a call for a demonstration from the far-left scene. The police allowed the procession through the city, as a correspondent from the Keystone-SDA news agency reported.

The participants had gathered on the Schützenmatte in front of the Autonomous Cultural Center Reitschule. The rally was held under the motto "United against Fascism".

Trump won the US presidential election on Tuesday and can therefore return to the White House. He will begin his second term in January 2025.
