According to Rega, it will have to give up its current location at Zurich Airport by 2030. The site in Central Switzerland offers the spatial, operational and aviation requirements to meet Rega's long-term needs.
Kägiswil is home to a former military airfield. In order to be able to build its new headquarters there, it would have to be converted into a civilian helicopter airfield, Rega announced.
