Israel attacked with fighter jets and drones in southern Lebanon, as reported by the Lebanese state news agency NNA. The town of Maifadun was also shelled with artillery. Two people were reportedly killed. The news agency reported four deaths in the Bekaa Valley in the east following an Israeli air strike.
According to an Israeli army spokesman, Israel must take "vigorous" action against the militia due to Hezbollah's violations of the ceasefire. He called on residents of other towns in southern Lebanon to leave their homes immediately. These calls are usually followed by Israeli air strikes.
The Israeli army announced in the morning that it had targeted around 25 Iranian-backed Hezbollah targets in the past 24 hours, including weapons depots. It was also reported that the militia had fired explosive-laden drones and rockets towards Israeli soldiers.
In a town in northern Israel, there was an air alert in the morning because the Israeli army had fired an interceptor missile at a "suspicious flying object" near soldiers in southern Lebanon. Debris from the interceptor missile threatened to hit the village of Shtula.
According to military reports, a drone loaded with explosives also landed on Israeli territory in the morning. There were initially no reports of casualties.
Hezbollah announced during the night that it had attacked Israeli soldiers in the south of the country with a drone and a new ground force position with rockets.
