Tech billionaire Elon Musk wants to donate millions to Donald Trump's election campaign, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. He wants to donate the money to the "America PAC" organization, which is supporting Trump's election campaign.

According to the newspaper, donors to the organization include close friends and business partners of the entrepreneur. These include Joe Lonsdale, co-founder of the software company Palantir, and the entrepreneurial twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. The "New York Times" also reported on the founding of the organization.

Super Pacs are organizations that accept unlimited donations and can use them to promote specific candidates or political causes. The acronym "Pac" stands for "political action committee".

45 million US dollars per month?

Tesla and SpaceX boss Musk intends to start making his own donations in July, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. According to the report, the 53-year-old plans to donate around 45 million US dollars (around 41 million euros) per month to the organization. Neither the Trump campaign nor "America PAC" have commented on this yet.

According to the US media, "America PAC" wants to support Trump's presidential campaign in the "swing states" - the states that keep swinging between Democrats and Republicans. The organization has hired hundreds of employees and is trying to convince voters there to cast their votes early by postal ballot, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Following the assassination attempt on Trump on Saturday evening (local time), Musk officially announced his full support for the Republican on his X platform.
