Representatives of the USA and Ukraine are planning to continue their consultations in Florida on a peace plan, according to consistent reports. In Kiev, the portal "Ukrajinska Pravda" reported that former Defense Minister Rustem Umjerov and Chief of General Staff Andrij Hnatov were to speak again with US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on Friday afternoon (local time). The portal cited sources close to the Ukrainian delegation.

The US news portal "Axios" also reported, citing American and Ukrainian government officials, that the talks would continue this Friday.

Witkoff, as US President Donald Trump's special envoy, and Trump's son-in-law Kushner spoke with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Tuesday and presented the US proposals for ending the war. They reported on this meeting to the Ukrainian delegation in Florida on Thursday.

Ukraine, which depends on American and European support, has declared its willingness to negotiate. Moscow is also willing to talk. However, its tough demands have not changed; they amount to territorial cessions of Ukraine and ultimately a capitulation of the neighboring country.
