Politics Russia condemns US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities

Russia has "strongly condemned" the US attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. The "irresponsible decision" by the USA to bomb Iran violates international law and the United Nations Charter, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced in Moscow. The UN Security Council must react to this. The attack had also damaged the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. Moscow therefore expects a clear reaction from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

During the night, the USA had attacked three sites of the Iranian nuclear program with long-range bombers, among other things. Russia itself has been waging a war of aggression against neighboring Ukraine for more than three years in violation of international law.
