Despite the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Russia has continued its attacks on Ukraine's energy supply. Russia has carried out more than ten strikes on the city of Chuhujiv in the Kharkiv region in the east of the country, the mayor Halyna Minaeva announced on Facebook. Almost all parts of the city were paralyzed, she wrote. The energy suppliers could only begin to restore the power supply once the explosion sites had been investigated.

The governor of the Zaporizhzhya region in south-eastern Ukraine, Ivan Fedorov, also reported fires as a result of Russian attacks. No one was injured.
According to the Ukrainian air force, Russia attacked its neighboring country with 164 attack drones during the night. Of these, 136 were repelled and 27 hits were recorded at 12 locations.
Ukrainian drones over Russia
The Ministry of Defense in Moscow also announced that it had shot down 41 Ukrainian drones over Russian territories and the Black Sea - three of them over the Moscow region.
According to the Rosaviatsiya aviation authority, there have since been restrictions at nine airports in Russia for security reasons. This happens time and again in connection with Ukrainian drone attacks. Due to the deployment of Russian air defense, take-offs and landings are sometimes not possible.
Ukraine has been defending itself against the Russian invasion for more than three and a half years with Western help. As part of its defensive campaign, it repeatedly attacks targets in Russia. The resulting damage is disproportionate to the devastating consequences of Russian attacks in Ukraine.
