According to Russian reports, drones have attacked the oil-rich Tyumen region in western Siberia. Three drones were discovered and neutralized on the premises of a company in the regional capital of Tyumen, the regional administration announced. The incident took place on Monday evening.

"The operational intervention of the emergency services prevented the detonation of the drones" and there was no damage or injuries, according to the message posted on Telegram.
The Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova, on the other hand, reported that a refinery had been hit. However, the picture attached as evidence shows only minor damage to a protective wall in front of the actual oil tanks. Whether the photo was taken in Tyumen cannot be independently verified.
Tyumen is located more than 2,000 kilometers from the front in the Asian part of Russia. If the flying objects were launched in Ukraine, it would be the first time that Kiev's long-range drones have crossed the Ural Mountains. In the summer, Ukraine had already attacked strategic bombers in Irkutsk in Eastern Siberia with drones. However, these drones had been smuggled into the country on trucks and were launched near the military airfield.
