According to Russian reports, at least two people have been killed in massive Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow and the surrounding area. The victims were two employees of a company in Domodedovo, around 30 kilometers south of the Russian capital, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov, announced on Telegram. The drone attack hit the company's parking lot shortly after 5.00 a.m. (local time) as the men were about to start their shift, Vorobyov said.

As a result of the attacks in the Moscow region, 14 people also required medical assistance, the governor added.
In the Ramenskoye district of the Moscow region, at least seven homes were damaged by falling drone debris. Twelve people, including three children, were evacuated. The information could not initially be independently confirmed.
Kremlin strongly condemns attacks
According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, 74 drones were shot down on approach to the capital - more than ever before. In total, hundreds of flying objects are said to have been shot down in the Moscow region.
The Kremlin has strongly condemned the drone attack. President Vladimir Putin had been informed of the attack, said his spokesman Dmitry Peskov. He accused Ukraine of deliberately targeting civilian objects. "Our soldiers continue to attack military and military-related targets," he also claimed. In Ukraine, the death of civilians and the destruction of civilian infrastructure by Russian shelling is part of everyday life.
Restrictions at several airports in Russia
Six airports in Russia were temporarily closed for take-offs and landings, according to the Rosaviatsiya aviation authority. Moscow's Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky airports were affected, as were the airfields in Nizhny Novgorod, more than 400 kilometers from the capital, and in the city of Yaroslavl, around 300 kilometers away. After a few hours, the restrictions were lifted again.
Restrictions of this kind are repeatedly imposed at Russian airports in the wake of drone attacks from Ukraine. Due to the use of Russian air defense, take-offs and landings are sometimes no longer possible.
Ukraine has been defending itself against the Russian invasion for more than three years with Western help. As part of its defensive campaign, it also repeatedly attacks targets in Russia. For its part, it is also repeatedly the target of attacks from the air. Kiev recently offered to suspend mutual shelling of the hinterland as the first part of a ceasefire.
