Politics Selensky visits Germany
The German government has officially confirmed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be visiting Berlin today.

Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz will receive Zelensky with military honors in the Chancellery, government spokesman Stefan Kornelius announced. "The visit will focus on German support for Ukraine and efforts to achieve a ceasefire."
The talks will be followed by a joint lunch. A joint press conference is planned for 1.30 pm. "Afterwards, both will meet with representatives of German companies. In the afternoon, President Selensky will meet with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier for talks at Bellevue Palace," Kornelius added.
Several media outlets had previously reported on the visit. Since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, there has been little advance communication about Zelensky's trips abroad for security reasons. The Ukrainian head of state last visited Berlin in June and October 2024.
