Following a new deadly Russian airstrike near Kiev, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi is urging the deployment of Western missiles on the territory of the neighboring country. Russia has no restrictions on the use of its missiles, which is why Ukraine must be given unlimited capabilities, he said in a statement on the X news network. Selensky also condemned the new Russian airstrike near Kiev. A four-year-old and his father were killed and a 12-year-old boy was injured in the "deliberate terrorist attack".

While Zelenskyi spoke of a possible Russian attack with a North Korean missile, which is now being investigated, his advisor Andriy Yermak had spoken of an Iranian-made drone hitting the family home. During the night, rescue workers also cited a missile strike as the cause.
Selenskyj: 800 Russian glide bombs in one week
Selensky complained that Russia had fired 30 missiles and 800 glide bombs at Ukraine in the past week alone. Ukraine is grateful for Western help with air defense. "But to really stop Russian terror, we need not only a fully comprehensive air defense system that protects all our cities and communities, but also strong decisions from our partners - decisions that end the restrictions on our defense actions," said Selenskyj.
Ukraine hopes that Western allies will soon give permission for the deployment of longer-range missiles against Russian territory. Selensky had also said on Saturday evening that he had great expectations of the decisions on this in the USA, Great Britain and France. So far, there have been restrictions on the use of longer-range missiles against Russian territory.
If Ukraine can use the longer-range missiles without restriction, Selensky continued, then the war will end. "We will really bring the just end closer," he emphasized.
Ukraine has been defending itself against the Russian war of aggression with Western military aid for almost two and a half years. Most recently, the country significantly increased its attacks on Russia by producing its own drones and missiles. Since Tuesday, regular Ukrainian troops have also been deployed on Russian territory for the first time.
