After talks with a US delegation in Berlin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi left the Chancellery. This was observed by a photographer from the German Press Agency (DPA) in the evening. It was also reported in German government circles that Zelenskyi left the Chancellery after around five and a half hours. Selensky's communications advisor, Dmytro Lytvyn, told the Ukrainian news agency RBK-Ukrajina that the talks would continue on Monday.

Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) had already left the government headquarters a little earlier, according to German government circles. The format in which the talks will continue on Monday initially remained unclear. The central issues of the territorial cessions demanded by Russia, the security guarantees for Kiev and the question of the use of the Russian central bank's assets frozen in the EU were still on the agenda.
