In view of the current efforts to find a peace solution for Ukraine, its President Volodymyr Zelensky has spoken with the heads of the EU Commission and NATO. "I spoke to Mark Rutte on the phone and we will continue our talks in the coming days," reported Zelensky on Platform X about his conversation with the NATO Secretary General. "These are important days and a lot can change." Ukraine and its partners were coordinating closely, "and it is our joint measures and shared positions that will prove effective".

Selensky discussed the current diplomatic situation with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. "We continue to work closely with the European Commission and I am grateful for their support," Selenskyj wrote. In addition to the agreement on important issues, Selensky also emphasized von der Leyen's understanding of the need to strengthen Ukraine's resilience in the face of constant Russian attacks on infrastructure and energy supplies.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Since then, the country has been defending itself with the help of Western supporters. Kiev is currently negotiating a peace plan with Washington. US representatives are expected to attend negotiations in Moscow in the next few days.
