"People were injured while defending against a drone attack on a residential building in Tver," said acting governor Vitaly Korolyov, according to Russian news agencies. One child was among the injured in the city just under 200 kilometers northwest of Moscow, all of whom were being treated in hospital. The damaged residential building was evacuated.
Ukraine again carried out drone attacks on numerous Russian regions during the night. The Ministry of Defense in Moscow reported the downing of around 90 drones, including several approaching the Russian capital.
According to reports from the independent internet portal Astra, a refinery in the Yaroslavl region north of Moscow once again came under fire. In its defensive campaign against the Russian invasion, which has been ongoing for almost four years, Ukraine is targeting not only military objects but also oil and gas industry facilities. On the one hand, this is intended to impair the supply of fuel to the Russian military and, on the other, to make it more difficult for Russia to finance the war.
The damage caused by Ukraine in Russia is now considerable, but is disproportionate to the extent of the destruction and the number of victims caused by the Russian military's attacks in the neighboring country.
