Politics Several dead after Israeli attacks on eastern Lebanon
According to official figures, at least ten people have been killed in Israeli attacks in eastern Lebanon. The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that at least 26 more people had been injured. According to Lebanese security sources, there were around 16 airstrikes on several locations in the Baalbek-Hermel governorate in the north-east.

The Hezbollah militia has a particularly strong presence in the impoverished eastern region. Israel's army had already launched massive attacks there in recent days. In response to today's attacks, Hezbollah said it had fired dozens of rockets at targets in northern Israel.
According to reports from the state news agency NNA, there were also numerous attacks in southern Lebanon. Local media also reported several attacks on the coastal city of Tyre.
