The first places are occupied by the incumbents Stéphane Theurillat (center) with 7544 and Rosalie Beuret Siess (SP) with 7523 votes. They are followed by Raphaël Ciocchi (SP) with 6200 votes.
Jean-Paul Lachat (center) received 5759 votes. As a result, the SP and the center could each keep their two seats. Fred-Henri Schnegg of the SVP has so far received 5700 votes. According to the interim results, the SVP therefore has a chance of entering the Jura government for the first time.
Martial Courtet in sixth place so far
No longer among the top five is the former ex-central government councillor Martial Courtet with 5467 votes. After an investigative report criticized his leadership style in August, Courtet no longer ran for the Centre Party. In the first round on October 19, he came third as an independent. None of the candidates achieved an absolute majority at the time.
Courtet will be followed by the SP candidate Valentin Zuber and Damien Chappuis (PCSI). This means that the independent Christian Social Party is at risk of losing its seat on the cantonal government, as its incumbent David Eray is no longer standing.
