Party conference SP Co-President sees increasing violence in politics
SP Co-President Mattea Meyer has denounced increasingly violent rhetoric in politics. At the party conference in Sursee LU, she also referred to the Gaza demonstration in Bern two weeks ago.

Meier criticized the fact that since the election of Donald Trump, "male-dominated violence in all its forms" has permeated society. The SVP also uses "brutal rhetoric" to lash out at all those who cannot defend themselves.
Meier also referred to the Gaza demonstration in Bern. Nothing justified the "violent riots" at the time.
It is never legitimate to show solidarity with the wrong people. "Anti-Semitism and glorification of Hamas, which call into question Israel's right to exist and endanger the lives of Jewish people here in Switzerland, have just as little place in the SP as anti-Muslim racism," said Meyer.
