According to the information provided, the Kazakh man passed on information about Germany's military support for Ukraine and about the German arms and defense industry to his commanding officer. In particular, it is said to have concerned companies that develop drones and robots.

Photos from Berlin and recruitment for sabotage force?

In addition, the suspect is said to have repeatedly forwarded photos of public buildings in Berlin and of military convoys on freeways - including the "convoy of a NATO state". He is also said to have informed his contact at the Russian secret service about suitable sabotage targets in Germany and offered to recruit people for a sabotage and espionage force.

The suspected spy was arrested in Berlin on Tuesday by officers from the Federal Criminal Police Office. He is to be brought before the investigating judge of the Federal Court of Justice today, who will issue the arrest warrant and decide on his pre-trial detention.
