SVP President Marcel Dettling railed against Switzerland's asylum policy at his party's delegates' meeting in Puidoux VD this Saturday. He spoke of chaos and promised that his party would fight for a "safer and freer" Switzerland.
"Our borders are not protected. Asylum-seeking migrants and illegal immigrants are making Switzerland unsafe. Violent acts or serious sexual crimes, thefts and burglaries occur almost daily," said Dettling in the presence of the two SVP Federal Councillors Guy Parmelin and Albert Rösti.
He attacked Federal Councillor Beat Jans, who is responsible for asylum issues. "Shouldn't he be looking after our security? But he would rather take care of the official recognition of a third gender and celebrate the Muslim Ramadan, while Christmas carols are increasingly being banned from our schools," said the SVP President.
The Schwyz National Councillor directly criticized the SP and the Greens, referring to the SVP's recent parliamentary motion in Bern, in which they had called for criminal asylum seekers to be immediately excluded from the asylum procedure. He condemned the red-green camp, which had voted against this text.
"The politicians of the left do not care about the security of the Swiss population. Asylum seekers can enter illegally, become criminals and live at our expense: That is the summary of left-wing migration policy," he said. The real security problem in Switzerland is the policy of the left, he emphasized.
"The asylum chaos is a social time bomb - and Justice Minister Beat Jans bears the political responsibility for this," continued Dettling.
