In the case of the Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna, which were canceled due to the threat of terrorism, the two suspected young men are now in custody. According to a spokeswoman, the Wiener Neustadt Regional Court issued the measure, which was initially limited until August 23, due to the risk of committing a crime.

The two suspects, aged 17 and 19, are said to have prepared an attack on one of the US star's planned concerts in Vienna. According to the authorities, the 19-year-old has fully confessed, while the 17-year-old remains silent about the allegations.

It is still unclear whether the public prosecutor's office will also request pre-trial detention for a third person arrested. A decision on whether to take this step will be made at the weekend, if necessary.

The third suspect, aged 18, was arrested because he had sworn allegiance to the Islamic State. According to Interior Minister Gerhard Karner, he belongs to the 19-year-old's entourage. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the Federal Office for Immigration and Asylum (BFA) immediately initiated measures to revoke the residence status of the 18-year-old Iraqi.
