Bundesrat clears final hurdle The way is clear for Germany's billion-euro debt package

The Bundesrat has cleared the way for the Union and SPD's billion-euro financial package. As in the Bundestag, the necessary two-thirds majority for the corresponding amendment to the Basic Law was also achieved in the state chamber.
