Shots were fired at an appearance by Donald Trump in the US state of Pennsylvania on Saturday evening (local time). The ex-president and Republican presidential candidate was apparently hit in the ear, but not seriously injured.
The suspected shooter was killed, the Secret Service announced. One bystander was killed and two others were injured and in a critical condition.
Trump himself spoke out after the attack and explained that a shot had injured his ear. The attack is being investigated by law enforcement authorities as an "attempted assassination", according to several US media outlets.
